Hallowed Ground

Gorgeous, glorious day last week.  70 degrees in February.  I asked Andrew where he wanted to go - park, zoo, take Daisy for a walk.  He wanted to go see BB.  Andrew was only 2 when BB left us, so he has a special place in his heart for the cemetery.  He loves going there.  Its not hard for him like it is for others.  Thought I'd share our little visit:

It's been almost 5 years ago.  Doesn't seem possible.  Wouldn't you just love to know what she's doing?  I have no doubt we'll find out one day.  In the meantime, we'll have to settle for the little visits we have with her, and Mema and Papa, at their temporary home.

I'm verclempt. I miss her alot lately. I love that you guys go there-- and that it was Arn's idea..
Nothing here is "her", or familiar to her.. or what or where she was.. so I'm glad you have a place to go 'see" her.

That's why you need to move back to the Midwest. I know she'll throw a picnic at her place if you guys come back. (for any of you reading this besides Katy, yes we pretend she throws picnics at the cemetery. We used to go set up lawn chair and the kids would run around and play. We REALLY MISS HER!)

Anyone who knows "BB" can completely understand the idea of going to a picnic hosted at the cemetery...I miss her so very much too! Just know that she is so much a part of all of you that we all feel like we're at a Boo picnic when we get to see you!!! (Even in cyberspace--we too will take what we can get! Poop--that's funny. I hope the people I leave behind love me enough to save poop splatters.)

Oh Kelly. I read your post about Jon. I know, people dying young is just a bummer. BB is buried at Forever Bellerive, right at Mason & Olive. It is a really peaceful, beautiful place.

Every time my daughter has the perfect outfit with the perfect shoes with the perfect bow, I like to think BB and Mema are somewhere doing very important things but keeping an eye on the cuteness going on here!
